Beginning July 1, 2020, the Greek government has determined how the country will welcome travelers, carry out the necessary diagnostic screening and keep everyone safe throughout the season.
The Passenger Locator Form (PLF) is a key element in the planning. All travelers are obliged to complete their PLF at least 48 hours before entering the country, providing detailed information on their point of departure, the duration of previous stays in other countries, and the address of your stay while in Greece. For the PLF go to https://travel.gov.gr/#/
It is not yet clear which part of the PLF is applicable if arriving in Greece on a private sailing vessel. More information when we have it.
The authorities announced last night various extensions to the already imposed traveling and sailing restrictions up to 30/06/2020.
The extensions are published on the Government Gazettes issues #2280-2281-2283-2284/14-06-2020.
Pleasure yachts from all foreign harbors are still not allowed to enter Greece except prior bookings have been made with a port, harbor, marina and/or dry dock (only to mainland destinations) and permission given from the Greek Port Police and the Greek National Health Center.
Upon arrival such yachts are not allowed to sail to another port etc. until 1 July, 2020.
No entry to the country for non-EU citizens, or for yachts coming from Italy, Turkey or Albania.
Ferries to and from Italy are not operating.
International arrivals by sea will be allowed as of July 1.
On arrival an electronic form PLF (Passenger load factor) will need to be completed with contact details while in Greece.
Random tests will also be performed and travelers will undergo a 14-day quarantine if the test is positive.

Until 15 June, international flights are allowed only into Athens airport. The ban on flights from the UK and Turkey is maintained, but the ban on flights from Spain, Italy and the Netherlands has been lifted.
From 15-30 June, international flights will also be allowed into Thessaloniki airport, but there will be a ban on flights from Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Turkey, Albania and Northern Macedonia.
From July 1, international arrivals are allowed at all airports in the country and Greece is participating in the EU wide inclusion for the list of third countries currently excluded from the ban on flights. After just 51 days on the market, IYC has confirmed the in-house sale of the 49.95-metre Benetti motor yacht Yolo (ex: Taiba), finalised by Leo Jordil on behalf of the seller and Michel Chryssicopoulos on behalf of the buyer, who was introduced by Konstantinos Bogeas of Argo Maritime. The all-Italian displacement yacht sports in-house naval architecture with Stefano Natucci exterior lines and interiors by Luxury Projects and Zuretti Interior Design.
Yolo, from the Benetti Golden Bay Series, was completed in 1997 and extensively refitted in 2012. With an interior volume of 496 GT, Yolo comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests in six well-appointed cabins comprised of a full-beam master suite, a VIP cabin and four further guest suites – all of which feature en-suite bathrooms embellished with marble. An additional crew of 11 can cater to her guest’s needs.
A light, cream-toned colour palette with dark, glossy woodwork runs throughout her interior, creating a sophisticated setting for guests to enjoy. Her principal indoor entertainment areas include the main salon, furnished with a formal dining table for all 12 guests, and a laid-back sky lounge with an elegant marble bar.
The tri-deck yacht Yolo, built to ABS classification, offers various outdoor spaces for her guests to soak up the sun, dine al fresco or simply enjoy the view across her main deck, upper deck and a spacious flybridge.
For the more adventurous guests, Yolo also provides sufficient space to store an array of water toys and other leisure amenities.
Equipped with twin MTU 12 V 396 TE94 engines diesel engines with 2,262 hp each, the motor yacht Yolo with an aluminium superstructure and a steel hull cruises at 16 knots and reaches a top speed of 18 knots. At an economical cruising speed, she has a transatlantic range of 4,000 nautical miles.
The final asking price of Yolo during the time she was still listed as a yacht for sale is unknown and could only be solicited on application.
